Doctors in China removed a 15-centimeter knife from the girl's head.
In China, doctors removed a 15-centimeter knife from the girl's head, which accidentally, according to her mother, stuck into the child's head. This was reported on August 24 by the South China Morning Post newspaper.
A video showing a mother and her three-year-old daughter heading to the hospital with a knife in their head appeared online on August 15. According to the mother, she was changing the bedclothes and accidentally swung the sheet, causing a nearby 15-centimeter knife to fly off and stick into the girl's head.
At the same time, as the newspaper notes, later one of the hospital staff said that the mother admitted that she picked up a knife in order to scare her daughter, and later she accidentally hit the girl on the head.
"The medical staff successfully removed the knife, the girl is in stable condition in the hospital," the material says.
According to the newspaper, the police officially recognized the incident as an accident, confirming that there was no criminal intent. At the same time, an experienced but anonymous doctor told the publication that the knife stuck without causing fatal damage due to the softness of the child's skull.
"If the girl's mother had recklessly pulled out a knife, the risk would have been huge. The right action was to seek immediate professional medical help," the doctor said.
Earlier, on July 29, a one-year-old child killed a 70-centimeter cobra while playing in the village of West Champaran in the Indian state of Bihar. It was clarified that the child tore the reptile into two parts with a bite. After that, the snake died.
