Norway will provide Ukraine with air defense equipment worth about 7 billion kronor (more than $ 695 million). This was reported on the Norwegian government's website on August 24.

"Together with Germany, we are now trying to ensure that Ukraine receives powerful air defense systems," said Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gare Stere.

According to the report, Norway and Germany will jointly acquire two Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems, including missiles, for Ukraine. Norway will also purchase TRML-4D anti-aircraft radars from the German manufacturer Hensoldt and the Typhon 2 air defense system from Kongsberg.

"Air defense is also necessary to protect military departments and infrastructure. We are currently working with Germany to further step up efforts," Norwegian Defense Minister Tore Sandvik said.

Earlier in the day, US President Donald Trump approved the sale of 3,350 ERAM missiles to Ukraine worth $850 million. The package also includes other unspecified types of weapons.
