New modified anti-aircraft missiles tested in North Korea
North Korea has tested two of the latest modified anti-aircraft missiles to test their combat performance. This was reported on August 24 by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
"The General Directorate of Rocket Engineering of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea fired modified latest anti-aircraft missiles of two types at various targets," it follows from the material.
It is specified that the test launches were conducted under the supervision of the country's leader, Kim Jong-un. According to KCNA, during the inspections, experts revealed the effectiveness of the missile systems' combat capabilities for destroying air targets.
Earlier, on August 23, it was reported that the DPRK was forced to increase combat readiness due to the joint exercises of the United States and South Korea, the Ulji Freedom Shield. It was noted that British ships and other member countries of the "UN Command" also participated in them, which, according to the DPRK, could destroy the balance of power in the region.
