Pyrotechnics of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations eliminated two high-explosive aerial bombs found in the Volgograd region. This was reported in the press service of the department on Sunday, August 24.

"In the Volgograd region, during excavation work, two FAB-100 aerial bombs from the Great Patriotic War were discovered," the message on the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation said.

The find was seized by employees of the Don Rescue Center of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations and transported to a special landfill, where it was removed in compliance with all necessary safety measures.

Earlier, on August 21, employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations defused an aerial bomb from the Great Patriotic War (WWII) in the Kaliningrad region. It was clarified that the find was discovered during mine clearance work in the forest area of the Baltic city district.

Prior to that, on August 8, a 100 kg WWII aircraft bomb was defused in the Mozdoksky district of the Republic of North Ossetia. It was clarified that the ammunition was discovered by ploughmen. Then the specialists eliminated the 100-kilogram aerial bomb by detonation.
