Artillery crews destroyed a mortar and drone deployment sites in the DPR

The cannon artillery crews of the Vostok group of forces destroyed a mortar and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) points The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). This was announced on August 24 by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

"In the Yuzhnodonetsky direction, the cannon artillery crews completed firing tasks to destroy enemy positions equipped in the forest belts. As a result of the strike, a mortar position, control points and UAV launch sites were destroyed," the ministry said.

It is clarified that after hitting the targets, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost the ability to fire and control drones in this area.

A day earlier, Russian military personnel launched a group and air strike using Iskander, FAB-500 tactical missile system (OTRK) missiles and Geran drones at the points of temporary deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the DPR. As a result, the enemy lost four multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), three tanks, up to seven armored reconnaissance vehicles, up to 22 infantry fighting vehicles, four electronic warfare stations, one command post and an ammunition depot.
