Almost 40 flights were delayed at Pulkovo Airport due to restrictions.

Due to the restrictions imposed, 39 flights were delayed at Pulkovo Airport in St. Petersburg. This was reported on August 23 in the press service of the North-Western Transport Prosecutor's Office.

"On August 23, temporary restrictions on the reception and release of aircraft were introduced at Pulkovo Airport. As a result, 20 flights were delayed for departure and 19 for arrival," the agency's Telegram channel says.

It is noted that a 24-hour mobile reception of the transport prosecutor's office has been opened in Pulkovo.

The airport's press service recommended that you keep an eye on online scoreboard updates and voice announcements. Passengers on cancelled or delayed flights are invited to the restaurant to receive drinks on their boarding pass.

It will not be easy to achieve compensation for moral damage — a large-scale failure may be recognized as force majeure.

Earlier that day, Artem Korenyako, a representative of the Federal Air Transport Agency, announced the restrictions imposed at Pulkovo Airport. He clarified that this is necessary for the safety of civil aircraft.
