One person was killed and seven injured in an accident in the Saratov region.

Two cars collided in the Gagarin district of the Saratov region, as a result of the incident, one person was killed and seven others were injured. This was announced on August 23 by Yuri Yurin, Head of the Regional Security Department of the Saratov Region government.

"At 14:13, 112 service received a message that two Lada Vesta cars had collided in Gagarin district, on the R-228 highway, near the junction to Bazarny Karabulak. As a result of the accident, one person was killed and seven people were injured. The victims have been hospitalized," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

It is noted that at the moment rescuers of the regional rescue service, doctors of the Center for disaster medicine and ambulance, as well as traffic police officers are working at the scene of the accident. All the circumstances of the incident are being investigated.

Earlier, on August 20, it was reported that eight people were injured in the Udorsky district of Komi due to a collision between two cars. As a result of the accident, UAZ passengers aged from 14 to 62 years received injuries of varying severity.
