Two children died in a fire in the village of Masyugino in the city district of Klin, Moscow region. The regional prosecutor's office announced this on August 23.

"The Klin City Prosecutor's office is monitoring the establishment of the causes of the fire, which killed two children," the department's Telegram channel says.

It is noted that on August 22, two children aged two and four died in a fire in a private wooden house in the garden non-profit partnership (SNT) Rassvet. According to preliminary data, the cause of the fire was a short circuit in the electrical wiring.

A criminal case has been opened into the incident under Part 3 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence").

Earlier, on August 22, a child was killed and a 53-year-old woman was injured in a fire in Tula. It was reported that the fire occurred in a private apartment building on Mikhailovskaya Street.
