The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are withdrawing elite brigades from the Kharkov area, presumably for replenishment. This was reported to TASS by Russian law enforcement agencies on August 23.

"In the Kharkiv direction, there is a lack of units of the 92nd and 82nd separate airborne assault brigades on the line of combat contact. Their positions were taken by the Defense Ministry," the source said in a statement.

In addition, the agency notes that the 47th separate mechanized brigade, which also claims elite status, has been withdrawn to the rear. It is expected that after the completion of the AFU, they can prepare a new breakthrough attempt.

Earlier, on August 21, Pavel Feldman, Candidate of Political Sciences, professor at the Academy of Labor and Social Relations, spoke about the risk of increased losses in the Armed Forces due to a reduction in American aid. Feldman explained that American leader Donald Trump does not intend to sell weapons to Kiev, which could significantly increase the level of escalation of the conflict. He also concluded that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will continue to experience a shortage of resources until the end of the conflict.
