Hundreds of thousands of Gazans live in a tent city in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood — this is the only shelter, there is nowhere else to go. This was reported to Izvestia on August 23 by Mahmoud Alawadia, a correspondent for Al Mayadeen TV channel.

"The children live here, they sit right on the sand. Under the scorching sun, these tents do not protect them or their families from the winter cold or the summer heat," he stressed.

The displaced, according to Alavadia, demand from the international community and international organizations to protect them and ensure the minimum living conditions necessary for survival. The correspondent added that Gazans refuse to leave this place, despite the danger to their lives.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched an offensive on the city of Gaza on August 20 this year. It is located in the Palestinian semi-enclave of the same name. It was noted that Israel currently controls the outskirts of the city.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
