Trains are delayed in the Rostov region after a UAV crash near a railway station
Train traffic was suspended due to a UAV crash near the Sergeevka railway station in the Rostov region, and it has resumed. This was announced on August 23 by the Russian Railways Holding Company (RZD).
"As a result of the crash of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in the area of Sergeevka station (Rossosh — Sokhranovka section, Rostov region) on the night of August 23, the work of the contact network was disrupted. Train traffic was suspended," the company's Telegram channel says.
They clarified that thanks to the quick work of the railway workers, traffic was restored, but 38 trains are delayed, the delay time is up to 3 hours and 40 minutes.
It is noted that Russian Railways employees are "doing everything possible" to reduce the backlog of passenger trains.
The day before, on August 22, the Grand Service Express carrier company reported that eight Tavria passenger trains were delayed en route to Crimea and back. The reasons for the delays, which were up to 2.5 hours, were not specified.
