On the Molodezhny pass in the mountains of the Trans-Ili Alatau, a 45-year-old Belgian was rescued after he broke his leg while climbing. This was announced on August 23 by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan in the Telegram channel.
The victim's wife contacted the rescue service. Two groups of Emergency Situations Ministry rescuers from the Tuyuk-Su and Muztau checkpoints came to the rescue.
"It took 3 hours to reach the victim. After the first aid, the most difficult stage began — the descent on foot along the mountain path. It took about five hours," the message says.
The victim was taken to the Medeo Dam and handed over to the doctors of the Disaster Medicine Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, who admitted him to the Almaty hospital.
