Earthquake of magnitude 5.8 occurred in Kamchatka

An earthquake of magnitude 5.8 was recorded in Kamchatka. This was reported on August 23 in the Telegram channel of the Kamchatka branch of the FIT of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

The seismic event was recorded at a distance of 268 km from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky at 15:44 local time (6:44 Moscow time). The source was located at a depth of 64.2 km.
