Bailiffs began confiscating the property of singer Eduard Charlotte, who had previously been convicted of a number of criminal offenses, including for rehabilitating Nazism. This is stated in court documents on Saturday, August 23.

"The bailiffs received materials from the Samara Regional Court, which found Charlotte guilty under Part 4 of Article 354.1 of the Criminal Code (rehabilitation of Nazism) and Part 1 of Article 148 of the Criminal Code (violation of the right to freedom of conscience and religion) and sentenced him to 5.5 years in a penal colony," TASS reports.

Based on these materials, the process of confiscation of property was initiated, but there was no information about what exactly and in what amount should be confiscated.

On August 18, Charlotte was transferred from a penal colony to a general regime penal colony. During the period of serving his sentence, he incited other convicts to negative behavior and violated regime requirements, for which he was repeatedly disciplined.

The singer was detained at Pulkovo Airport on November 22, 2023, where he arrived from Yerevan. The artist was transferred to Samara. On November 30, three criminal cases were initiated against him — on two counts of rehabilitating Nazism (Part 4 of Article 354.1 of the Criminal Code) and one of insulting the feelings of believers (Article 148 of the Criminal Code). On December 27, 2024, Charlotte was sentenced to 5.5 years for rehabilitating Nazism. The court also dismissed the criminal case on the theft or damage of documents (Article 325 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). During the hearing, the singer apologized to the residents of Russia.
