Senior Sergeant Radik Sadyrov commanded the assault group and was tasked with securing a new position in the forest belt when the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) decided to launch a counterattack and try to regain the lost territories. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation on Saturday, August 23, told about the exploits of Russian servicemen in the area of the special military operation (SVO).

Sadirov immediately gave the order to return fire. The battle began, during which the senior sergeant personally destroyed five opponents. As a result, the position was defended, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost a significant part of their personnel and retreated. Sadirov organized first aid for the wounded, ordered two soldiers to take up a cover post in case of a repeat attack by the enemy and ordered them to be evacuated for medical treatment.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the skillful and competent actions of Guard Junior Sergeant Alexander Teterevkov, who commanded the crew of the T-90 tank and provided fire support to assault units in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).

During the clash, Teterevkov promptly gave orders to the crew and adjusted firing using data obtained from unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). During the battle, the crew managed to eliminate three Ukrainian Armed Forces strongholds and a significant part of the enemy's personnel. When the tank was moving away from its position, it was attacked by enemy FPV drones. However, Teterevkov reacted quickly to the threat and the tank was taken out of the danger zone.

Earlier, on August 22, the Ministry of Defense told how Senior Sergeant Dmitry Denisov, at the head of an assault group, was securing the territory liberated from the Ukrainian Armed Forces when he noticed an approaching enemy FPV drone.

Prior to that, on August 21, the defense ministry said that Guard Corporal Artem Elizariev, as part of the crew of a T-90 tank, performed a combat mission to support the offensive actions of the Russian infantry. During the battle, the tank managed to destroy two AFU strongholds, as well as several fortified positions.
