In 2028, eight national teams from different countries will participate in the Hockey World Cup. This was announced on August 22 by journalist David Pagnotta, citing Bill Daley, Deputy Commissioner of the National Hockey League (NHL).
Earlier, the organization's press service also reported that at least eight teams will participate in the upcoming tournament.
