European countries are showing a desire to disrupt the negotiation process on the conflict in Ukraine, Rodion Miroshnik, the Russian Foreign Ministry's ambassador-at-large for crimes committed by the Kiev regime, told Izvestia.

"Europe is demonstrating in every possible way its desire to disrupt the negotiation process, and therefore the participation of the European side in peace negotiations looks like a side is sitting at the table that does not really want this peace," the ambassador noted.

He added that European representatives are trying to insist on positions that block the achievement of agreements.

"In particular, this includes the ceasefire regime, which is useless without a systematic settlement and even works for the other side, and an absurd proposal for security guarantees in the form of the introduction of some units into the territory of Ukraine," Miroshnik said.
