A Reuters journalist reported on Kellogg's planned visit to Kiev.
U.S. Special Envoy Keith Kellogg will pay a visit to Kyiv on August 23. This was announced on August 22 by Graham Slattery, a Reuters journalist, citing sources.
"According to sources, Kellogg will travel to Kiev tomorrow to participate in a prayer breakfast and Independence Day celebrations," he wrote on the social network X.
He noted that the trip will take place against the background of negotiations on security guarantees conducted by representatives of the United States, Ukraine and Europe.
On August 19, Bloomberg learned about the readiness of about 10 countries to send troops to Ukraine as part of providing possible security guarantees for Kiev.
Russian Deputy Security Council Chairman Dmitry Medvedev said earlier on August 21 that Russia would not accept security guarantees implying the deployment of NATO troops on the territory of Ukraine. He noted that European leaders continue to insist on the idea of sending NATO troops to Ukraine, despite Moscow's objections.
