- Putin noted the Spasskaya Tower program to support the families of its participants.
On August 22, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted the extensive program of the Spasskaya Tower Festival, which is aimed at supporting the families of participants in a special military operation.
The Spasskaya Tower Festival takes place from August 22 to 31 on Red Square in Moscow. This year, the orchestras of the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the FSB, the Federal Security Service (FSO) and the Russian Guard, bands from the UAE, Belarus, Mongolia, Italy and others will perform at the event.
"I would like to emphasize the extensive charity program of the current festival aimed at supporting the families of participants in a special military operation, and the sincere concern of the organizers about creating a separate creative space for young viewers," Putin was quoted as saying on the Kremlin's website.
In addition, Putin called the festival a "truly festive event" in the cultural life of the state, one of the most successful projects in the framework of international humanitarian cooperation. Every year, this event brings together military orchestras, choreographic, folklore groups, and performers from different countries.
On May 15, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin spoke about his support for the Spasskaya Tower music Festival. This year, it was timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, and also dedicated to the defenders of the Fatherland. It is expected that about 1.5 thousand musicians from 20 bands from different countries of the world will take part in the show. Orchestra performances, as in previous years, will be organized in parks, alleys, squares and other iconic places of the capital.
