Acting Dutch Foreign Minister Kaspar Veldkamp has resigned.

He stated that he could not agree with the rest of the members of the interim cabinet on the adoption of additional sanctions against Israel. In particular, Weldkamp began to feel limited in his ability to independently pursue the necessary policies.

On August 8, the Netherlands canceled the supply of naval equipment to Israel due to the deteriorating situation in the Gaza Strip. It was noted that the country's Foreign Ministry revoked three licenses for the export of components of warships to Israel. In turn, Weldkamp called this step unique.
