An IT hub for 2.5 thousand employees has been opened in St. Petersburg.
A new flagship IT hub of the T-Technologies group, the parent company of T-Bank, has appeared in St. Petersburg with an area of 30 thousand square meters. m. 2.5 thousand employees of the company will be accommodated in a ten-story building. It is intended to become a center of attraction for the professional IT community, the company said.
In 2017, St. Petersburg became the first city in which the group opened an IT hub outside of its Moscow headquarters. "Today, the hub is reaching a new level and becoming an IT flagship, not only in terms of scale, but also in terms of the tasks we are solving here," said Vyacheslav Tsyganov, Director of Information Technology, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of T—Bank.
The building is located on Sverdlovskaya embankment. It can accommodate up to 2.5 thousand employees at the same time. The IT hub is designed according to the "city within a city" principle, and it will also become an entry point for educational initiatives, according to T-Technologies. There are plans to open a "student coworking space" in the building.
In addition, with the opening of a new space, there are more opportunities for holding meetups and large-scale events for the IT community in the region, the company noted. So, in early September, the IT hub will host the "Season of Code" festival, an annual event for IT professionals.
