The fishing industry of Sevastopol received 150 million rubles of state support
The Sevastopol fisheries complex received 150 million rubles from the federal budget. The money will be used for salaries of employees and insurance premiums, the press service of the city government reported on Friday, August 22.
Thanks to this, the industry is showing growth: fish catch exceeded the figures for 2024 by 50%. A year earlier, such support helped to avoid cuts.
As noted by IA SevastopolMedia, another 83 million rubles were allocated for the modernization of the fleet. The funds were received from the regional budget.
Earlier it was reported that in the first half of 2025, fishermen extracted 24.7 thousand tons of biological resources in the Black and Azov Seas. This is 44.3% more than in the same period of 2024.
