Gosuslugi continues to operate normally despite a massive DDoS attack from abroad, to which the portal has been subjected since morning. This was announced on August 22 by the Ministry of Finance of Russia in its Telegram channel.

"Public services have been subjected to a massive DDoS attack from abroad since 12:00 Moscow time on August 22. A small number of users may encounter difficulties logging into the portal due to a functioning traffic filtering system," the message says.

The ministry stressed that all attacks are successfully repelled, and user data is protected. Multi-level high-tech protection has been built to ensure the information security of the resource. In addition, there is round-the-clock technical support and a round-the-clock monitoring and rapid response headquarters to prevent and block threats, the Ministry of Finance said.

According to a report by experts from the Solar 4RAYS Cyber Threat Research Center at Solar Group, which Izvestia reviewed on August 8, espionage and financial gain became the main targets of professional hackers in almost 90% of attacks in the first half of 2025, while the share of hacktivism is gradually decreasing, but still poses a serious danger. According to experts, these statistics indicate a change in the priorities of hackers.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
