The Finnish defense concern Summa Defense will send the first batch of UAVs to Ukraine in the second half of 2025. This was announced on August 22 in a press release posted on the company's website.

It is noted that new production facilities of a subsidiary of the Summa Drones concern have already been put into operation in the south of Finland. According to the publication, the production of the first test batch in cooperation with a Ukrainian partner is already in the process.

"We expect the first batches to be ready and deliveries to begin in the second half of the year," the statement said.

Earlier, on August 14, the German Foreign Ministry announced its intention to allocate $500 million for weapons to Ukraine as part of the "new mechanism" of NATO called the Priority Ukraine Requirements List (PURL — list of priority requirements of Ukraine). It was specified that Germany would take over the financing of one of the complex packages.
