Toyota continues to supply spare parts to Russia for previously sold vehicles. This was reported by Autonews on August 22, citing a statement by Kaori Hasegawa, Senior Corporate Communications Specialist at Toyota Motor Europe.

A Toyota representative clarified that the import of spare parts that are not subject to sanctions has remained in the Russian Federation. This is "done in order to ensure the safety of customers," of which there are still many in Russia, despite the cessation of official deliveries and sales of new cars.

Hasegawa noted that Toyota "currently has no plans to start exporting new cars to Russia and resume sales of new cars, which in any case are subject to sanctions."

Earlier that day, it became known that Toyota had entered the top 15 brands in Russia in terms of market revenue for July of this year.

Before that, on August 8, the head of Autostat said that Toyota accounted for the lion's share of alternative car imports in Russia in the middle of summer.
