In Sevastopol, a court sentenced 46-year-old local resident Sergei Bodnarashik to 14 years in prison for treason. This was announced on August 22 in the press service of the city prosecutor's office in the Telegram channel.
It was established that from January to October 2023, the man proactively transmitted photos and information about the locations of military and special equipment, as well as other objects of the Russian Armed Forces, to the special services of Ukraine. He was found guilty under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("High treason").
"The court, taking into account the opinion of the public prosecutor, sentenced Bodnarashik to 14 years of imprisonment in a high—security penal colony, with a one-year restriction of liberty and a fine of 200,000 rubles," the prosecutor's office said.
The day before, a resident of Crimea was sentenced to 15 years in prison for treason and preparing a terrorist attack on behalf of the Ukrainian special services. The malefactor planned to set fire to the relay cabinet of the State Unitary Enterprise of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Crimean Railway" in order to disrupt military transportation.
