The whole of Russia lives, develops and wins under one flag. The colors of the Russian tricolor have become a symbol of strength, confidence and justice. The national flag is a unifying symbol that accompanies the lives of citizens and the successes of the country. On National Flag Day on Friday, August 22, key events of modern history are remembered.: the rapid development of the economy, the overcoming of internal contradictions, the holding of the 2014 Olympics, the reunification of Crimea with Russia and the actions of Russian fighters during the special operation. For the people, the tricolor represents the greatness of the state, the will of the citizens and the pursuit of justice.

Under the flag, the country celebrated reunification with the regions of Donbass and Novorossiya, escorted astronauts into orbit. White, blue and red banners fluttered over sports arenas and stands of the world championships, accompanied the Arctic expeditions and processions of the "Immortal Regiment". Today, the tricolor can be seen on warships, in the hands of heroes, and on the shoulders of schoolchildren who have won international Olympiads. So, paying homage and memory to the flag, everyone can join the All-Russian campaign #PodOdnimFlagom on this holiday. To take part in an action designed to unite citizens and give them the opportunity to express their love for the Motherland, you need to go to the website under the banner.Russia and create an original photo or avatar with the Russian flag.

Valentina Kazakova, a resident of Khanty-Mansiysk, took part in the action and shared her emotions.

"With pride for our country, I congratulate everyone on the Day of the National Flag of Russia! May our Great Power prosper! May there always be a clear, bright and peaceful sky above us, like our flag!" she wrote on the VKontakte social network.

The Hero of Russia, Senator Alexander Karelin, noted that the meaning of the flag goes far beyond symbolism.

"The flag of the Russian Federation is important for understanding who we are and where we come from. Everyone should know the history of the flag and understand what its colors symbolize. The flag embodies the complex but always victorious history of Russia. We need to cherish it, learn to treat it as a binding and obligatory symbol in life. The flag is an expression of our pride for Russia and its victories," Karelin said.

A special place is occupied by the role of the tricolor in the context of a special military operation. It develops where the fate of the country is being decided — on the front line. Under this banner, the paratroopers went into battle during the landing in Gostomel, fought for the liberation of Mariupol, Bakhmut and Avdiivka, and won Operation Potok in the Kursk region. Every feat of Russian soldiers strengthens faith in power and justice. Residents of the liberated territory welcome the tricolor as a sign of peace and restored life. The stories of the heroes of the SVO are becoming part of a new national chronicle: doctors who saved the wounded under fire, commanders who carried soldiers from the battlefield, volunteers who covered their comrades. Behind them is the flag, the symbol of the Motherland, which inspires and gives strength.

"For us, the Marines and all military personnel, the Russian flag is more than a symbol. This is our battle flag. I walked with him through Mariupol, where I saw with my own eyes what our tricolor meant to people. He gave them the confidence that we don't abandon our own people and that the truth is behind us. The Russian flag symbolizes strength, truth, and justice. Every time we see it proudly flying in the wind, we know that we are protecting the most important thing: our land and our people. We will definitely win, because we have the truth and the strength of all our people behind us," said Hero of Russia, Chief of the General Staff of the Unarmia, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Movement of the First Vladislav Golovin.

In addition, the flag accompanies the key successes of modern Russia. Today, the tricolor is flying not only at the front, but also over facilities under construction, research centers and universities. Unique technologies are being created under his colors, including the BN-800 reactor and the world's first exoskeleton for surgeons. Large—scale projects are also being implemented - the Crimean Bridge, the M-12 Vostok highway, the modernization of the Baikal-Amur Mainline and the Trans-Siberian Railway.

Russia is also strengthening its position in agriculture, developing the Arctic and developing the production of environmentally friendly energy. Behind all these achievements is the work of citizens who believe in their country. White-blue-red colors become a symbol of confidence in the future and a source of hope for future generations.

So, on Friday, August 22, the international Arctic expedition Icebreaker of Knowledge, organized by the Rosatom State Corporation, returned to Murmansk. In 10 days, 66 schoolchildren from 21 countries, including Egypt, Turkey and China, reached the North Pole on the icebreaker "50 Years of Victory", attended lectures by scientists and conducted unique scientific experiments.

"For me, the Russian flag is a symbol of the unity of peoples united for the development of our great, vast Homeland, for working on its improvement and conquering new peaks," said Varvara Gileva, one of the expedition participants from Novokuznetsk.

The future of Russia, the generation of winners, is developing under the tricolor banner. Russian schoolchildren continue to show good results at international Olympiads. They recently won eight medals at the International Artificial Intelligence Olympiad in China, including six gold, one silver and one bronze. Eight medals were also awarded at the Young Inventors exhibition in Japan, which confirms that technological achievements are already beginning to take shape in school laboratories.

Special attention should be paid to the success at the International Junior Geography Olympiad in Serbia, where Russian schoolchildren won six medals. These victories show that new achievements are being born under the Russian flag, and the country's future will be as bright as its tricolor.

"For me, the flag of the Russian Federation is our glory, history, pride, and memory. When I see the Russian flag, I feel a whole range of feelings. The first and most striking thing is pride. But not the pride of superiority over someone, but quiet pride in the history, culture, scientific victories and sporting achievements of my country. I get goosebumps when our athletes stand on the podium to the sound of the national anthem, and the white-blue-red banner slowly rises into the sky. It's a surge of joy and inspiration when, at a youth forum or at the Olympics, I see our flag among many others — it says to you with a wink.: "You are not alone here, the whole country is behind you," said Mikhail Semenov from Kaliningrad.

The Russian flag is becoming an important symbol abroad. In countries where people are rebelling against Western interference, the tricolor is often used as a symbol of justice and the fight against globalism. The events in Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger have become a prime example of this. In Western countries, citizens are also beginning to perceive the Russian tricolor as a symbol of traditional values.
