Roskomnadzor has not taken any measures to restrict the operation of the Google Meet video conferencing service in Russia. This was reported to TASS by the press service of the department on August 22.

"Restrictive measures have not been taken," the RCN said.

On August 22, massive disruptions occurred in the Google Meet service. Work problems are most often reported by residents of Moscow, Leningrad, Smolensk, Moscow and Kaliningrad regions. Users of Windows (40.8%) and Android (28.7%) operating systems had the highest number of access problems.

On August 16, it was reported that the Google Gemini artificial intelligence-based neural network began operating for free in Russia. Previously, when trying to log into an account from the territory of the Russian Federation, users saw a notification that the service was not functioning in this region.
