In July 2025, Lada became the leader in revenue in the Russian car market with a result of 37.1 billion rubles (compared to 32 billion in June). This follows from the infographic of Autostat Info analysts, published on the Telegram channel on August 21.

It is noted that experts attributed the positive dynamics to the growth of Granta sales (14 billion rubles in July against 12.5 billion in June) and the strengthening of Vesta's position (10.8 billion against 9.6 billion).

Revenue also increased for Chinese brands, analysts emphasized. In second place after Lada in the rating is Chery, which by the end of July this figure amounted to 36.5 billion rubles (24.3 billion a month earlier). The sales leader of this brand is the Tiggo 7 Pro Max crossover.

The third place among the brands is occupied by Haval, which increased its turnover to 35.5 billion rubles from 26.4 billion in June. Its locomotive is Haval Jolion. Geely (30 billion rubles), Changan (22.6 billion rubles) and the Belarusian brand Belgee (17.3 billion rubles) are next.

According to the infographic, Mercedes-Benz and BMW, which stopped business in Russia, were among the top ten, with car sales revenue also increasing to 16.5 billion and 15.6 billion rubles, respectively. The former's performance increased mainly due to the G-class and S-class models. The Chinese Jetour brand is on the tenth line (14.3 billion rubles), which surpassed Toyota, Tank, GAC, Solaris, Omoda and Exeed in revenue. For all the brands listed above, revenue increased over the month.

"The revenue of the Russian new passenger car market in July 2025 reached 372 billion rubles, which was one of the best indicators of the current year and a noticeable recovery after 276 billion rubles in June. Against the background of the January-March drawdown, when volumes fell to 231-237 billion rubles, the market is showing signs of recovery, although the situation is still not reaching the autumn peaks of 2024 (440-500 billion rubles)," the analysts added.

On August 22, it was reported that in August, the demand for cars of the Belarusian brand Belgee in Russia increased by 19.7% compared to January – March of this year. The demand for Belgee X50 crossovers (analogous to Geely Coolray) increased by 24%, and for Belgee X70 (Geely Atlas Pro) — by 9.4%. The demand for used models of this brand has increased by 46.3% compared to the beginning of the year.
