Four-time Russian futsal champion Yuri Rudnev has died as a coach.

Russian futsal coach Yuri Rudnev has died at the age of 70. This was announced on August 22 by the press service of the Russian Futsal Super League.

"A professional who was selflessly devoted to mini-football, who had many bright victories behind him for the glory of a young sport," the message says.

Over the years of his coaching career, Rudnev led Kirovets, Galax, Zenit, Norilsk Nickel, Alfa, Spartak, Dynamo, Dina, Ukhta and other teams.
