The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has completed the investigation of the criminal case against the writer Bykov

The investigation of the criminal case against the writer Dmitry Bykov (listed as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation), accused of spreading false information about the Armed Forces of Russia, has been completed. This was announced on August 22 by the press service of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation.

The writer is charged in absentia under Part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Public dissemination of knowingly false information about the use of the Russian Armed Forces"), Part 2 of Article 330.1 of the Criminal Code ("Evading duties provided for by the legislation of the Russian Federation on foreign agents").
