Demand for Belarusian-made cars has increased in Russia

In August, the demand for cars of the Belarusian brand Belgee in Russia increased by 19.7% compared to January-March of this year. This was reported to Izvestia on August 22 by Avito Auto experts, who analyzed data on the supply on the platform, demand and prices.

The demand for Belgee X50 crossovers (analogous to Geely Coolray) increased by 24%, and for Belgee X70 (Geely Atlas Pro) — by 9.4%. At the same time, 2.1 and 1.9 times more ads for the sale of these cars appeared on the platform, respectively. The total supply of the brand's models has doubled, and prices have not changed since the beginning of the year. The average price of the new Belgee X50 was 2.69 million rubles, and the Belgee X70 was 3.12 million rubles.

The demand for Belgee with mileage increased by 46.3% compared to the beginning of the year. Users are more attracted to the X70: demand increased by 95.4%, and for the X50 — by 46%. The supply of cars of the brand increased by 71.5%. At the same time, the number of ads for the sale of the Belgee X70 increased 2.6 times, and the Belgee X50 — 1.6 times.

Since the beginning of the year, cars of this brand have fallen slightly in the secondary market — by 2.5%. The average price of the Belgee X50 decreased by 3.1% to 1.89 million rubles, while the Belgee X70 decreased by 3.2% to 2.4 million rubles.

Earlier, on August 18, it was reported that the Belarusian brand Belgee was among the top five most popular in the Russian car market for the first time. According to the results of the 33rd week of this year (from August 11 to August 17), 1,682 Belgee cars were sold in Russia.

On August 11, the Belji plant announced the completion of production modernization. The changes primarily affected the welding and body painting workshops. After the modernization, the number of robots in the factory was increased from 10 to 43 units. The measures taken made it possible to increase the production of cars from 15 to 30 units per hour.
