According to him, the VAZ classic and front-wheel drive models aged 10-20 years continue to be in high demand among Russians. The segment from 500 thousand to 1 million rubles accounts for exactly a quarter (25%) of the used car market, the expert emphasized. For example, the average price of such cars produced in 2010 is 564 thousand rubles, and in 2014 — 840 thousand rubles.

"But cars more expensive than 1 million rubles account for only a little more than one third of the secondary market (36%). But in monetary terms, this segment accounts for 75% of the total financial pie. And it has exceeded 3.7 trillion rubles in seven months," Tselikov added.
