A pedestrian died as a result of being hit by a car in Irkutsk

In the Leninsky district of Irkutsk, a woman died as a result of being hit by a car at a pedestrian crossing. This was announced on August 22 by the press service of the State Traffic Inspectorate for the region in the Telegram channel.

"According to preliminary information, the 36-year—old driver of a Honda Airwave car, following Mira Street in the direction of Novatorov Street, hit a pedestrian crossing the roadway at a pedestrian crossing," the department said.

The victim died on the spot from her injuries before the ambulance crew arrived.

An investigation is underway into the incident. The causes and conditions of the accident are being investigated.
