The Head of State, along with military personnel and unit commanders, attended a concert on the occasion of the veterans' return. The families of the dead soldiers were also at the scene.

On stage, the artists performed patriotic and revolutionary songs, which, according to the agency, "the fighters did not forget even in their sleep." After the program ended, the hall was filled with solemn cheers from the audience, who looked at the Korean leader with respect.

A day earlier, on August 20, Kim Jong-un received the commanders of the Korean People's Army who participated in the battles for the liberation of the Kursk region. It is noted that the leader of the DPRK heard a detailed report on the fighting for the liberation of the region and highly appreciated the heroism of the country's army.
