Associations and formations of the Russian Navy (RF Navy) have begun conducting planned special exercises on types of support conducted under the leadership of the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy, Admiral Alexander Moiseev. This was announced on August 22 by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
It is specified that during the exercises, Moiseev assessed the actions of the personnel of the logistics services of the fleet and naval aviation units for the operational restoration of the airfield after the use of weapons against a simulated enemy. So, during one of the stages, the airfield was protected from strikes by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
An assessment of the actions of the fleet's on-duty forces and anti-submarine and sabotage defense units was also carried out. The servicemen demonstrated their skills in detecting and capturing a group of underwater saboteurs, as well as using FPV drones to destroy unmanned boats.
On August 19, the Caspian Flotilla of the Russian Navy launched a bilateral tactical training exercise with the development of tasks for the purpose in the offshore combat training grounds of the Caspian Sea. At the first stage of the ZTU, the crews of the ships carried out emergency preparations for combat and left the base for the dispersal areas.
