On August 21, US President Donald Trump took to the streets of Washington with the National Guard to fight crime. The American leader praised the police and military for reducing the crime rate in the country.

"I've never received so many calls thanking me for what we did in Washington. People who hadn't been to the restaurant in literally four years said, "What you've done is unprecedented.".. So this is a great tribute to you," Trump said in an address to the police.

Also, while patrolling the streets, Trump said that $550 million dollars had been stolen from him in a trumped-up case. Presumably, the US president was talking about the case of forgery of financial documents of the Trump Organization when paying ex-porn actress Stormy Daniels. However, he stressed that the court decision had been overturned.

In addition, Trump announced the construction of a ballroom in the White House.

"I'm building a ballroom in the White House. They have dreamed of a ballroom for 150 years. <...> We will make this the best of all," the American leader said.

In addition, the President of the United States noted the achievements in the development of artificial intelligence (AI). He added that the United States is able to compete with technology from China.

"Previously, we would not have been able to compete with Chinese AI, but now we are unconditionally leading the race. AI is a serious business, and it's probably the most important technology in the last 35-40 years...> We need to at least double the production of electricity in order to be competitive," said the president of the Republican Party.

Donald Trump also commented on the changes in the electricity industry.

"All these large plants that are currently under construction are building their own power plants powered by oil and gas, but not by wind. <...> This is a very expensive type of energy, and we will not use wind energy, we will return to fossil fuels," the president stressed.

Earlier, on August 12, it was reported that the US National Guard troops had arrived in Washington to fight crime. It was clarified that all forces placed on high alert are ready for possible clashes.

South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster announced on August 17 that his state would send 200 US National Guard troops to Washington to support Trump's plan to reduce crime in the capital. At the same time, it was reported that 150 military police personnel from the National Guard from Ohio would also be sent to Washington.

Trump said that Washington is one of the most dangerous cities due to increased crime. The Head of State clarified that the number of violent crimes in the district has increased, and the murder rate has almost doubled in just 10 years.
