The Ministry of Industry and Trade is currently conducting a licensing audit of the new production site of the Vips-Med pharmaceutical company, which is the only one producing drugs with barium sulfate, Roszdravnadzor reported. Because of them, the company temporarily suspended the release of the drug, the agency explained.

"The expected completion date is September 2025," Roszdravnadzor said in response to a request from Izvestia.

The release of the first batches of drugs is possible two to three weeks after the end of the inspection, one of the pharmaceutical industry representatives believes.

"But if there are complaints, the company will not be able to resume production until they are eliminated," he recalled.

Sergey Shulyak, director of the analytical company DSM Group, noted that it will take at least several months from the completion of the test to the launch of the drug on the market.
