The Russian Academy of Sciences has created a department for the organization of work and control of space programs. Gennady Krasnikov, President of the Russian Academy of Sciences, told Izvestia about this in an interview.

"The Russian Academy of Sciences has created a department that will oversee space programs and monitor the execution of work on them, both within the cooperation of academic institutions and at Roscosmos enterprises," the head explained.

Also, the scientist said, the Russian Academy of Sciences and the State Corporation Roscosmos have created a joint permanent advisory body to promptly resolve emerging issues. He has already started his work.

As the scientist explained, the new structures will allow coordinating work on scientific space exploration within the framework of the adopted Federal Project "Space Science". It includes large-scale programs for the study of the planets of the Solar system, solar-terrestrial relations, deep space, biological and materials science research in orbit.
