The exam for the position of Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation was canceled due to the lack of candidates. The corresponding statement was published on the official website of the ministry on August 21.

"Due to the lack of applications and documents, <...> an additional hearing scheduled for August 21, 2025, will not take place for the vacant post of Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation," the statement said.

According to Article 26.3 of the law "On Judicial Community Bodies," applicants had to submit a full package of documents for admission to the exam, but no one sent the papers.

It clarifies that candidates for the post must meet the requirements established by law. One of them is age — the applicant must be at least 35 years old. In addition, the candidate must have worked in law for at least 10 years, as well as have a higher legal education. "Газета.Ru ".
