Four villages in Crimea were protected from a natural fire. This was announced on August 21 by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.

"Thanks to joint efforts <...>, the threat of spreading to the settlements of Malinovka, Luchevoe, Severenoe, Vasilyevka in the Belogorsky and Razdolnensky districts of Crimea was eliminated," the message says.

According to preliminary data, the fire area is about 7 thousand hectares. Currently, more than 330 people and 70 pieces of equipment, including Mi-8 helicopters, are extinguishing the wildfire.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations had deployed aviation to extinguish a landscape fire in Crimea. In addition, the administration organized plowing and water delivery. It is specified that extinguishing the fire is complicated due to the inaccessible terrain, as well as hot and windy weather.
