Leading experts spoke about the significance of the Russian tricolor
Russia is preparing to celebrate the national flag Day. Leading political experts discussed the role he played during the recent negotiations in Alaska at a round table of the Expert Institute for Social Research (EIS) on the topic "The Russian flag is a symbol of unity and sovereignty" on August 21.
Russian President Vladimir Putin and American leader Donald Trump have essentially built a logic for a peaceful settlement in Ukraine. At the same time, the tricolor of the Russian Federation has become a symbol of Moscow's desire to defend its sovereignty and national interests to the end.
"This is essentially a symbolism that unites us historically. By the way, it is also necessary to note the fact that how many countries and peoples have adopted the Russian tricolor as their national flag, slightly modified, but nevertheless. These are a number of countries," said Vladimir Shapovalov, a member of the Russian Association of Political Consultants and head of EISI projects.
It is noted that Slovenia, Croatia and the Czech Republic are among such countries.
The history of the Russian tricolor dates back more than 300 years. Concerts and marches will be held across the country tomorrow in honor of the holiday.
Earlier, on April 7, Vasily Prokofiev, director of the Central Bank's Cash Circulation department, announced that the Central Bank of the Russian Federation was considering adding the image of the Russian flag to new banknotes. Expert suggestions will be taken into account when developing a new version of the banknotes.
