Deputy Mayor of Moscow Sergunina noted the popularity of the capital as a tourist destination

Due to the wide range of formats and offers for travelers, Moscow is regularly included in ratings and recommendation collections of travel services, agencies, aggregators and industry media, said Natalia Sergunina, Deputy Mayor of the capital.

"According to experts, Moscow is great for family vacations, youth vacations, children's vacations, spontaneous trips and more. The capital always welcomes many guests on New Year's and May holidays, Easter, February 23, March 8 and Russia Day," said Sergunina.

According to the OneTwoTrip online service, megapolis is the leader in the list of Russian cities where travelers like to return: the share of repeat bookings is 14%.

According to a study by Yandex Business Trips, Moscow accounts for more than a third of all short-term business trips across the country. Industry events are most often flown here, often taking weekends off to combine business trips and vacations.

Moscow also ranks first in Russian ratings for hotel occupancy and other accommodation. Spa hotels are particularly popular with tourists.

Last year, the capital topped the National Tourism Ranking. The assessment took into account such indicators as the quality of the infrastructure and the attractiveness of the destination for travelers.
