The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations has deployed aviation to extinguish a landscape fire in Crimea. This was announced on August 21 by the press service of the department.
"To prevent the fire from spreading to the villages of Malinovka and Vasilyevka, an airmobile group of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic of Crimea was involved. Aviation of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations is involved," the message says.
In addition, the administration organized plowing and water delivery. It is specified that extinguishing the fire is complicated due to the inaccessible terrain, as well as hot and windy weather.
At the moment, the fire area is unknown. In total, more than 160 people and 32 pieces of equipment are involved in extinguishing the fire.
Earlier, on August 11, a natural fire broke out between the village of Pavlovka and Vasilevka — dry vegetation caught fire. At that time, 140 specialists and 34 pieces of equipment, including the MI-8 helicopter of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, took part in extinguishing the fire.
