Employees of government departments began to be trained in the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in civilian industries. On August 21, the National Priorities NGO told Izvestia about the educational programs implemented within the framework of the national project "Unmanned Aircraft Systems".

"Employees of various government agencies are trained in drone use scenarios: Rosreestr, Rosleskhoz, Ministry of Emergency Situations, Rosprirodnadzor, Roshydromet, Rosrybolovstvo, police, border and fire services," the agency said.

So, Rosseti employees use drones to inspect power lines, pipelines and cell towers, Rosprirodnadzor employees monitor the environment and identify unauthorized landfills, and rescuers find injured people in hard-to-reach places.

Over the past year, more than 10,000 specialists have completed professional retraining in the field of drone application and control in civilian industries. To date, about 68 thousand more people are trained to work with drones.

Rosreestr employees in the Rostov region were among the first to complete their training. They were able to use drones to create aerial photographs, which can be used to identify violations of legal requirements when using land.

In the Republic of Crimea, forest guards have been trained to control drones. With their help, it has become more convenient to monitor vast territories — UAVs allow you to find intruders and lost tourists, as well as help detect illegal logging or fire.

In the Kaliningrad region, drones are used to monitor reservoirs. Rosrybolovstvo specialists use them for environmental control, combating illegal fishing and search and rescue operations.

On August 14, Russian President Vladimir Putin, in his greeting to the participants of the International Forum "Unmanned Systems: Technologies of the Future", said that advanced achievements, including in the field of unmanned systems, should meet business needs and be quickly implemented in practice. He also expressed confidence that the forum would demonstrate the potential of the unmanned systems industry and allow it to launch in-demand projects.
