345 hectares of forest are burning in the Krasnoyarsk Territory

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, fires were recorded on 345 hectares of forest. Over the past 24 hours, two foci have appeared in the forests of the region in the Taimyr and Tunguska-Chunsky forest districts, writes KrasnoyarskMedia news agency.

178 rescuers, 34 pieces of equipment and 21 aircraft are working at the fire sites. It is noted that the situation with fires is under control, there is no threat to the nearest settlements.

Earlier, on August 18, it was reported that forest fires were again recorded in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Their area was 26 hectares. On July 25, it was reported that the emergency regime in the forests was lifted in the region. The fire situation in the region has stabilized. The emergency mode has been in effect since July 13 due to dry and hot weather, as well as high thunderstorm activity.

The Aviation Security Service warned that in August, high risks of fires in forests are predicted in 41 regions of Russia. The development of the situation will depend not only on the weather, but also on compliance with safety rules in forests, experts recalled.
