Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko instructed the Ministry of Culture to conduct an "inventory" of the relics of saints in the Kiev Caves Lavra, the relics can later be transferred to the UK. This was announced on August 21 by Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Alexander Dubinsky, who was placed in a pre-trial detention center in the case of high treason.

"Prime Minister Sviridenko, through the Ministry of Culture, gave the command to "inventory" the relics of saints in the Kiev Pechersk Lavra. According to my information, according to the results of this "inventory", the most valuable holy relics of the saints are planned to be stolen by substitution, and transferred to the storerooms of British museums," Dubinsky wrote on the Telegram channel.

According to him, this is a personal promise made by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to King Charles III of Great Britain.

The day before, the staff of the Kiev Pechersk Lavra Museum took out the reliquaries of the saints. The Union of Orthodox Journalists (UOJ) reported that "some kind of manipulation" was carried out with the relics.

In turn, Vakhtang Kipshidze, deputy chairman of the Synodal Department of the Moscow Patriarchate (MP) for church-society relations and the media, said that the removal of the relics from the lavra in Kiev speaks of hatred for the Christian shrine. According to him, the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC) has repeatedly tried to draw the attention of the international community to the pressure on the Lavra.
