By 2027, 1.7 trillion rubles will be allocated for the development of the capital's transport infrastructure as part of a Targeted investment program. Vladimir Yefimov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Planning and Construction, told about this at the opening of the International Transport Summit.

"The construction of transport infrastructure is the foundation of the city's economic growth. New metro stations and roads not only increase the mobility of citizens, but also become points of attraction: business centers, residential complexes, and social facilities are being formed next to them," Yefimov said. According to him, this helps the districts to develop, create jobs and increase tax revenues.

Yefimov stressed that the largest section of Moscow's Targeted Investment Program is devoted to the development of transport infrastructure. In general, the volume of the program for 2025-2027 has been agreed at the level of 3.3 trillion rubles.

According to Yefimov, the pace of development of the rail frame in the capital is one of the highest in the world. Since 2011, over 120 stations, almost 260 km of lines and 14 electric depots of the metro and the MCC have been built and reconstructed in the city. In September 2025, it is planned to open four stations of the Troitskaya line for passengers (Vavilovskaya, Akademicheskaya, Krymskaya and ZIL). In addition, work continues on the Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya and Biryulevskaya branches. A total of 17 metro stations are under construction, and 14 more are under design.

The deputy mayor also recalled that the city is actively developing a street and road network: since 2011, more than 1.5 thousand km of roads have been built in Moscow, about 400 of them are overpasses. In particular, this year Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced the opening of a new section of the Solntsevo –Butovo –Varshavskoye highway. This road is an important part of the transport framework of the TINAO, as well as a stand—in for the southwestern and southern sectors of the MKAD. The construction of the highway is scheduled to be completed next year. In general, the plans are to build about 270 km of roads in the city by 2027.
