Documentary filmmaker Ella Davletshina died at the age of 78.

Documentary filmmaker Ella Davletshina has died at the age of 77 after a long illness. This was reported on August 21 in the Telegram channel of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia.

"On August 20, 2025, at the age of 78, Ella Khamzinichna Davletshina (1947-2025), a wonderful, bright, talented person, died after a long illness," the organization's Telegram channel says.

According to the Union of Cinematographers of Russia, in 1984, the film director moved to Novosibirsk, where she began working at the West Siberian Newsreel Studio. There she led the production of the film magazine Siberia on the Screen. After that, Davletshina began working as a director.
