The expert named the factors of furniture price growth
The cost of furniture in Russia continues to grow, and there are several key reasons for this process. The main factors of the rise in prices are rising costs for materials, logistics, production modernization and the remuneration of qualified specialists, said Sergey Shikhov, General Director of the interior company Mr.Doors, on August 21.
"The rising cost of materials and components, the need to modernize equipment, as well as increased personnel costs are the main triggers influencing the rise in furniture prices," he said.
According to him, import dependence remains one of the main factors of pressure on prices.
"Most of the high-quality fittings, for example, are still supplied from abroad, which entails significant logistical costs," the expert said.
An equally important reason is the technological renewal of factories. The largest Russian manufacturers began to develop rapidly to meet the emerging demand, and this implies the improvement of the machine tool fleet, the lion's share of which remain imported.
The situation is also aggravated by the shortage of personnel in the labor market. In a situation of a shortage of qualified specialists, large companies tend to review motivation programs to retain existing employees, as well as to find new ones, which leads to higher costs.
"It is impossible not to take into account the growth of rental payments, which large players with a federal presence of salons cannot ignore," Shikhov summed up.
